Panhandle Eastern said it was notified by DCP Midstream of an explosion Tuesday at the National Helium Plant near Liberal, KS. As a result, processing and dehydration were shut down until further notice and the Btu content of gas downstream of the plant has increased, Panhandle said. "At this time there is no anticipated impact to shipper nominations, but Panhandle will be monitoring the water content of receipt points upstream" of the plant.
ANR began unplanned maintenance Wednesday at South Marsh Island 76/Garden Banks offshore Louisiana in the Southeast Area Fuel Segment. ANR is not accepting nominations at the point during this work, which is expected to last through Aug. 29. And due to unplanned engine failure, ANR also began repairs Wednesday at Sandwich (IL) Compressor Station. The pipeline is accepting only firm primary nominations through the Sandwich East-CFTP segment; it expects this operational restriction to continue through Friday.
Texas Eastern blocked its mainline between the Hempstead and Huntsville compressor stations (a single-line system) Wednesday for a pipe replacement that is expected to last through Sunday. During this outage a restriction of receipts in the South Texas and/or East Texas zones is possible, the pipeline said. In addition, eight meter stations in the area will be unavailable for gas flow, it added.
Trunkline will not accept nominations for next Tuesday at the Transco Ragley Interconnect in Louisiana while acoustic filters are changed on the meter tubes.
Rockies Express lifted Wednesday the force majeure that was declared Monday for the pipeline's booster facility at the Wamsutter Echo Springs interconnect in Sweetwater County, WY.
